Darlington Bojangles Southern 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Top Tier Elite” Picks
Greg Biffle – Biffle has two wins at Darlington and he’s finished eighth in two out of the last three years. I would argue he should be a three-time winner but in 2008 his motor blew up midway (Here’s his Yahoo! chart vs Kyle Busch who won). This year Biffle is entering the Southern 500 as one of the favorites. If it’s hot Saturday night I think he will be the favorite. A hot track is a slick track and the slicker the better for “The Biff”. Biffle has paced the field for a lot of laps at Darlington. He’s led +95 laps in four out of the last seven races. My prediction is Greg Biffle will win the Southern 500. (Yahoo! B Driver)
Brad Keselowski – Keselowski has a great track record at this 1.366 mile skill track. He’s only raced here three times and his worst finish 12th. That’s pretty good in my book. Last year in the Southern 500 he finished 3rd but don’t overlook his 16th place average running position. His finish was the product of a late caution and not pitting. In his pre-rookie race he came home with a 7th place finish. Keselowski has everything in place for a win and I think he’ll be strong Saturday night in the Bojangles Southern 500. (Yahoo! A Driver)

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch has finished in the top ten in every even year race at Darlington so he’s due for another. Kyle Busch won here in 2008 and every year since then he’s led laps at “The Lady in Black”. Last year Kyle Busch finished 11th and led 78 laps. This race will mark the one year anniversary since he clipped Kevin Harvick and wrecked the #29 car on pit road. Darlington is a tough track but it’s not to tough to tame for Wild Thing. (Yahoo!
