Kentucky Quaker State 400: Fantasy NASCAR “Front Runner” Rankings
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. didn’t have a good performance last year in the inaugural race at Kentucky. He started in 29th and had a 20th place average running position. He was running in the top eight late in the race (green flag pit cycle) but had a flat tire immediately following his pit stop (finished 30th, Yahoo! Race Chart). This season at 1.5 mile tracks Junior has been very good. He’s finished in the top ten every race and has an 8.8 average running position. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Brad Keselowski – Last year at Kentucky Keselowski led nearly a third of the race (79 laps) and had the third best driver rating (118.6). He started in 6th and finished 7th. Here’s his Yahoo! race chart. In last years race at Kentucky Keselowski inherited the lead in an usual manner. He had radio problems around the mid point of the race and stayed out during a caution. So far this year on intermediate tracks he’s been pretty good as long as he’s avoided trouble. At the last two 1.5 mile venues visited he’s finished 5th and 11th. Passing is difficult at Kentucky but perhaps no team is better than the #2 at taking gambles to get track position. (Yahoo! A Driver)
