Pocono Pennsylvania 400: Fantasy NASCAR “Mid Pack” Projections
Paul Menard – Menard had a strong showing at Pocono this June. He started in 3rd and finished 9th. His 9th place finish shouldn’t of been to much of a surprise. In the three previous Pocono races he finished 13th, 14th and 10th. I wouldn’t call Menard a sleeper pick but I think fantasy racers should expect solid production out of him in the Pennsylvania 400. Also in the last four races his average starting position is 8.8 (3rd best) and his 11.5 average finish ranks as the 8th best. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Kurt Busch – In June Kurt Busch was suspended for the Pocono 400. In his absence David Reutimann drove the #51 and finished 21st. Because of his talent level this is only a minor setback for him. The wheel wasn’t reinvented at the “Tricky Triangle”. Last year at Pocono Kurt Busch finished 2nd and 3rd. Kurt Busch had some impressive loop data numbers last season. He had the best average starting position (3.0), best average running position (3.5), best driver rating (126.6), and led the second most laps (75). I think an 11th through 20th place finish is achievable. (Yahoo! B Driver)
