Atlanta Advocare 500: Fantasy NASCAR “Front Runner” Rankings
Kevin Harvick – In 2001 in just his third start Harvick won his first race at Atlanta. Following his first season he went on quite the slump here. In the next 12 races he didn’t have a single finish better than 15th. Once again though Harvick is a viable fantasy option. In the last seven Atlanta races he has five top tens and only one finish lower than 13th. In September 2009 he had this race won but a late caution and a slow restart were his undoing (video). Harvick has been a consistent performer on 1.5 mile tracks this season. He has three top tens and hasn’t finished worse than 11th. (Yahoo! A Driver)

Martin Truex Jr. – Martin Truex Jr. should be really good at Atlanta despite his 21.7 average finish. Tracks with a high line are his strength and that’s where the Advocare 500 will be won. Truex Jr. has been really good this season on 1.5 mile intermediate tracks. On them he has a 9.0 average finish and he’s led 242 laps (only Greg Biffle has led more). Only Jimmie Johnson and Greg Biffle have a better driver rating and better average running position than him on 1.5 mile tracks this season. (Yahoo! B Driver)
