Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer was happy with the pace of his car. He thought they were really good and they focused on tweaking the car. Bowyer is working with a new spotter this week.
Jamie McMurray – The #1 car was well-balanced.
Denny Hamlin – Hamlin was loose on exit and couldn’t hold the throttle down. Too free for his liking. Hamlin did have the best 5 lap average though.
Kevin Harvick – Harvick said he was too loose in all the turns and couldn’t touch the throttle on the bottom groove. He ran faster lap times on the top groove.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Junior’s practice plan for today is race trim in practice #1, then some qualifying trim later in practice #1 and then in Happy Hour he’ll do 100% race trim.
Jeff Gordon – Gordon liked his car and said there were a few things they needed to work on. In practice he didn’t want to run to fast in qualifying trim because he feels it will be to their advantage to qualify with about 15 cars remaining.
