Kansas Hollywood Casino 400 After Practice Fantasy NASCAR Contender Picks
Jimmie Johnson
What to expect / Areas of concern:
I think there’s no question this team will be good on Sunday. Their average speed was a little bit down on the speed chart but that’s because he made longer runs then the competition. Only Kasey Kahne ran more laps than him. In this era of no cautions being good over long runs is a must. His 10 lap average speed ranked as the 4th best. This team is in Chase mode and it’s highly unlikely fantasy owners will regret the decision to pick him.
Starting Position:
7th
Average Practice Speed Rankings:
29th
PROS Ranking:
3rd
Chassis Selection:
Jimmie Johnson will be piloting the chassis he raced at Chicagoland and finished 2nd with. This is also his Indy (1st) and Dover car (1st and 4th). Johnson really likes this chassis.

Kasey Kahne
What to expect / Areas of concern:
Track position will be important in this race and he’s starting on the pole. Kahne is always fast at intermediate tracks and if a second lane comes into existence I think it’s likely he’ll be the driver who will find it. Kahne’s average practice speed ranked as the 10th best but it should be noted that he ran more laps than anybody. His 10 lap average ranked as the 8th best.
Starting Position:
1st
Average Practice Speed Rankings:
10th
PROS Ranking:
6th
Chassis Selection:
Kasey Kahne will be using the chassis that won the Coca Cola 600 and has three top three finishes in four races.
