AAA Texas 500 After Qualifying Fantasy NASCAR Picks
Jimmie Johnson
What to expect / Areas of concern:
Jimmie Johnson has a great car this week. He’s starting on the pole and had the best 15 lap average in Happy Hour. Johnson likes his car and should be considered the pre-race favorite. Johnson has a track record you have to love at Texas. He’s finished 2nd five times and has finished in the top ten in 72% percent of his races. Earlier this year Johnson arguably had the best car but lapped traffic took away his chance for victory. Johnson is my pick to win the AAA Texas 500. Lots of experts picked him to win as well.

Jimmie Johnson will be driving a chassis he finished 3rd with at Charlotte a few weeks ago. Charlotte is the most similar track on the circuit.
Make sure you read my predictions post. It goes more in depth about drivers than this post.

Brad Keselowski
What to expect / Areas of concern:
Keselowski said “Dang this car is good”. That’s certainly a statement I would like to hear about a fantasy driver of mine. You have to like Keselowski’s chances this week. His car is fast and he’s confident. Keselowski has been good in the Chase and the battle between him and Johnson will likely be a draw once again. The battle between these two will go all the way to Homestead.
Starting Position:
8th
Average Practice Speed Rankings:
7th
PROS Ranking:
NOT RANKED
Chassis Selection:
Keselowski will be driving a chassis he finished 6th with at New Hampshire at the start of the Chase.

Clint Bowyer
What to expect / Areas of concern:
Bowyer has a good car this week. Today in the combined practice sessions he had the best average speed. Long runs in this race will be important and you can’t overlook the fact that in Happy Hour he had the third best 15 lap average speed. This week Bowyer will be piloting his Charlotte race winning chassis.
Starting Position:
4th
Average Practice Speed Rankings:
1st
PROS Ranking:
Not Ranked
Chassis Selection:
Bowyer will be using the chassis he won with at Charlotte a few weeks ago.
