Homestead-Miami Ford EcoBoost 400 Fantasy NASCAR After Practice Contender Picks
Matt Kenseth
What to expect / Areas of concern:
This will be Kenseth’s last race in the #17 and I don’t see it ending on a bad note. He’s always a good fantasy option at Homestead and all the variables for having a successful weekend look good. He’s starting just outside the top ten and he had the 8th quickest average speed today. In the last seven races at Homestead Kenseth has five top tens. Last year he finished 4th. At other 1.5 mile tracks this season Kenseth has a 10th place average finish. In the last two races at tracks of this length he’s finished 1st and 4th.

Martin Truex Jr.
What to expect / Areas of concern:
Martin Truex Jr. may very well have the car to beat at Homestead. My only concern about him is that he just doesn’t win races. Today in practice he had the 2nd best average speed and the third best 10 lap average. His car also ran the 2nd best 1 lap speed. Homestead has been a very good venue for Truex Jr. Last year he finished third and had the 2nd best average running position. Truex has raced here seven times and in five of them he’s finished in the top ten.
