Stewart-Haas Racing buys the #49 teams owner points for Danica Patrick

Today it was announced that Stewart-Haas Racing has purchased the #49 teams owner points for Danica Patrick. Last year that team finished 42nd in owner points. This move doesn’t assure her a starting spot in the Daytona 500 but it certainly doesn’t hurt her chances.

This move is basically made to assure her starts in the first three races of the season in case if weather cancels qualifying.
