Bristol Food City 500 Fantasy NASCAR “Top Tier Elite” Picks
Brad Keselowski – Before the race last August Brad Keselowski had back to back wins at Thunder Valley. On the new surface he wasn’t as successful. Just after the midway point of the race his day ended early with an accident when he crashed into the inside wall. Before he wrecked he typically ran between 5th and 13th. In no way would I consider him a factor for the win though. During the race Brad contacted him team over the radio and said something to the effect that they missed the setup. They planned on running the low line but to their surprise the high line was more important than ever before. This season on the track Brad Keselowski hasn’t missed a beat from where he left off last season. For that reason alone you can bet on him being a contender. My prediction is Brad Keselowski will win the Food City 500 (Yahoo! A Driver)

Matt Kenseth – Matt Kenseth had an interesting race at Bristol on the new surface last August. Early in the race he had a loose brake line which put him a lap down. Once it was fixed he was able to regroup and get his lap back. Pit strategy was a huge factor in August and through it he got the lead and paced the field for 25 laps. Then when he was battling Tony Stewart for the lead on lap #331 they got together and wrecked. Matt Kenseth has been a good driver at Bristol no matter what the configuration or circumstance is. Last spring he finished second and on the old, old surface he won twice. Prior to his wreck last August he had six consecutive top ten finishes at Thunder Valley. I expect Kenseth to have a strong performance in the Food City 500. Also you can’t overlook the fact his teammate Denny Hamlin won the night race last year. (Yahoo! A Driver)

Kyle Busch – Kyle Busch is always strong at Bristol no matter the circumstance. He was good in the Generation 4 car, dominated the COT era 5 wins) and on Sunday I don’t think he’ll miss a beat in the Gen 6 car. Last August at Bristol on the new surface he finished 6th. It wasn’t an easy sixth though because at one point in the race he was running back in 30th after getting a speeding penalty. Also in the race he earned the 5th best driver rating and had an average running position of 10th. Look for Kyle Busch to be very good at Bristol. I think lots of fantasy NASCAR experts will be picking him to win the Food City 500. (Yahoo! B Driver)
