Bristol Food City 500 Practice #1 Notes

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Engine blew up. Changing engines. Will start in the back on Sunday. Said his car wasn’t bad in race trim.

Brad Keselowski – Got out of the groove and into the wall early in practice. (Do DAMAGE)

Kevin Harvick – Harvick reported that his car was slamming into the track and sideways. Later in practice his lap times improved but he was tight on exit. Later in practice he said the splitter was still hitting the track in turns 1 & 3 and his car is tight off the corner. Later in practice his ride issues were fixed (informed about where he was hitting the splitter) but he said that they still need to turn better. (This information is all from when he was in race trim).

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Earnhardt Jr. reported that his car was good in and tight in the middle on his first run. Later in practice his car was still tight. On his third run he said it was bouncing on the splitter. Later he said his car turns better off corners.

Bobby Labonte – Labonte reported that his car was loose in the center of the corner,  loose when he gets on the gas and free on exit.

Jamie McMurray – Car has a good feel. (in race trim at the time)
