Martinsville STP Gas Booster 500 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Greg Biffle – In the last three Martinsville races Biffle has finished 10th, 13th and 15th. Those are pretty good finishes for him here but don’t be fooled. This is the last track on the schedule I would pick Biffle. In twenty races he has three top tens and has finished outside the top twenty 45% percent of the time. Also when you evaluate him from a career perspective you can’t overlook his 21.4 average finish and a 20.2 starting position. Last fall when Biffle finished 10th he had a 17th place average running position and only raced in the top fifteen 53% percent of the time. (Yahoo! B Driver)
Kurt Busch – In 2002 Kurt Busch won at Martinsville in just his fifth race. That victory certainly wasn’t a sign of things to come from him here. Since then he’s only finished in the top ten twice with his most recent being in 2006. Last fall Kurt Busch actually had one of his better races here in the #78. He finished 15th but he may of very well been a little better than that. In twenty five races at Martinsville Kurt Busch has four top tens and a 21.0 average finish. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Joey Logano – Equipment is very important at Martinsville. Even being in Joe Gibbs cars which arguably rank as the best here Logano still had limited success. In eight races he’s only finished in the top ten twice. In the last three Martinsville races he’s had results of 16th, 23rd, and 18th. Although his equipment is a step down from his previous employers (for Martinsville) I would look for Logano to finish in the teens if he has a “natural finish”. He’s a marked man though who’s lost a tremendous amount of respect in the garage area. I don’t think anyone will cut him any breaks this week. (Yahoo! B Driver)
