Richmond Toyota Owners 400 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions

Joey Logano – Joe Gibbs Racing cars are as good as it gets at Richmond and Logano never really had any success here. He’s only finished in the top ten once and had an end result outside the top fifteen 62% percent of the time. Because of his historical lack of success I don’t think the team change will be a setback for him. I still expect a mediocre performance. Last spring at Richmond Logano finished 24th and in the fall he finished 30th and was lapped on lap #118. At Phoenix Logano had about a 10th place car but he had fuel issues late in the event (finished 26th).

Kurt Busch – Kurt Busch and the #78 team have some dark horse fantasy NASCAR potential. The reason why I say this is because of how he’s looked at Phoenix with Furniture Row Racing. In fall 2012 he finished 8th and earlier this season he had about a 10th place car but had some issues in the event (Took two tires then his handling went away. Shortly afterwards he got into the wall hard). Despite being a former winner Richmond has often been troublesome for Busch. In the last six races here he has one top five but five finishes of 18th or worse. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Greg Biffle – Last fall at Richmond Greg Biffle had his first top ten at RIR since 2006. As I’m sure you remember that race played out very unconventionally and that 9th place finish probably deserves an asterisk mark. Between his top ten finishes he had 8 results in the teens and a 19.6 average finish. At Phoenix earlier this season Biffle started in 17th, finished 17th and led 39 laps due to being out of sequence. (Yahoo! B Driver)
