Talladega Aaron’s 499 Practice #1 Notes

General Practice Consensus – It seems that everyone expects qualifying to be rained out tomorrow. If that happens the practice speeds from this session will set the qualifying order.

Denny Hamlin – He’s returning this week and drove the #11 early in practice. He basically just drove by himself getting the feel of things. In the race there’s a good chance he’ll run with Michael Waltrip early. In practice he drove for about the first 20 minutes and completed 17 laps. He also didn’t appear to have any problems getting out of his car.

Hendrick Motorsports – All four cars ran together around the track. Don’t be surprised if many of them run around in the back together early on Sunday. Junior is the least likely of this group to do that though.

Brad Keselowski – Crew chief is once again with the team this week.

Danica Patrick – Using her Daytona 500 car.

Paul Menard – Said his car is a little free.
