Charlotte Coca Cola 600 Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings
Clint Bowyer – Last October at Charlotte Motor Speedway Clint Bowyer went the distance on his tank of fuel and won. If the race didn’t come down to fuel mileage than he likely would’ve finished around 5th. From a historical perspective Charlotte hasn’t been a great track for him. He’s only finished in the top ten four times and prior to his win last fall his most recent top ten was in 2010. This season on high-speed intermediate tracks Bowyer has been good but not great. Based on how he’s performed on this track type this season a result around 10th is likely in the cards. (Yahoo! A Driver)

Martin Truex Jr. – Martin Truex Jr. has a very poor track record at Charlotte. He’s raced here 15 times and has only finished in the top ten on three occasions. That doesn’t mean you should avoid him though. This season on 1.5 mile tracks he’s been very strong. He has a 4.3 average finish (tied for the best), 5.7 average running position (second best), led 188 laps (second most), and is one of only three drivers who’ve finished in the top ten all three races. Last season at Charlotte Truex Jr. finished 10th and 12th. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Joey Logano – Charlotte has been one of Joey Logano’s better tracks. He has a 10.1 average finish and has only had one result lower than 13th. In five of his eight races he’s finished in the top ten. Last spring at Charlotte Logano had his least competitive performance and finished three laps down in 23rd. In the fall race he rebounded and finished 9th. This season on high-speed intermediate tracks Joey Logano has been a viable sleeper option. He finished 12th at Vegas, nearly won at California, and finished in the top five at Texas despite starting in the rear. Given his track record and how strong he’s performed this season I think he’s a driver definitely worthy of fantasy consideration in the longest race of the year. It’s important to note that he’ll be missing his crew chief again this week. (Yahoo! B Driver)
