Kentucky Quaker State 400 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Brian Vickers – Brian Vickers will drive the #55 at Kentucky in the Quaker State 400. Last season Michael Waltrip drove this car and started in 39th and finished 30th. I think Brian Vickers will unquestionably finish better than that. He’s much more talented and in my opinion intermediate tracks have historically been his best track type. This season Vickers raced the #11 at two 1.5 mile tracks. At Texas he finished 8th and at Kansas he finished 31st. In the #55 car this year Vickers has one top ten and a 10.6 average finish. (Yahoo! Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. will be making his first start at Kentucky but he’s certainly not unfamiliar with this track. In his championship season’s in the Nationwide series he’s recorded finishes of 9th (2011), 8th (2012) and 17th (2012). Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has some intriguing fantasy value at Kentucky. This team has stepped up their game. In the last two races on 1.5 mile tracks he’s had finishes of 11th (Kansas, better than his finish) and 14th (Charlotte). (Yahoo! C Driver)

Ryan Newman – Last year at Kentucky Ryan Newman started in 5th but when the green flag waved he fell all the way back to the low double digits before the first pit stop. While he was running in the low double digits he never really improved his position. He just remained there. Then on lap #210 his engine blew up and he pounded the wall hard for a DNF. In the first race at Kentucky he finished better but didn’t perform as well. In 2011 he finished 4th but he was fortunate that a caution came out at a favorable time. In that race he had an 18th place average running position and only ran 29.6% of the laps in the top fifteen. (Yahoo! B Driver)
