Kentucky Quaker State 400 Yahoo! C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. –Ricky Stenhouse Jr. is the obvious top Yahoo! C List pick for the Kentucky Quaker State 400. He’s on the best team and their performances have been getting better. For more information on Stenhouse Jr. make sure you check out our Mid Pack Predictions post.
AJ Allmendinger – AJ Allmendinger will once again be piloting the #47 to help evaluate the program of JTG Daugherty Racing. A few weeks back at Michigan he drove this car and finished 19th. That tied the organizations best finish of the season at a non-restricted track. Last year when Allmendinger drove the #22 he performed well at Kentucky and finished 9th. At Kentucky JTG Daugherty Racing has finishes of 26th and 27th. Interestingly enough within the last month Bobby Labonte tested here for the organization. Look for Allmendinger to have finish somewhere in the high-teens to mid twenties.
Austin Dillion – At Kentucky Austin Dillion will be driving the #51. A few weeks back at Michigan he drove the #33 and finished 11th. In the Quaker State 400 I’m going to urge you not to get to excited. He has an established track record in the #51. He’s driven this car four times this season and has finishes of 21st, 27th, 31st and 33rd. Kentucky has been a good track for Dillion. Last year in the Nationwide Series he won both poles and won both races. In the June race last season he led all but 8 laps and had a margin of victory of 9.8 seconds.
Casey Mears – Recently Casey Mears spent three days testing here for Germain Racing. That should boost his fantasy value slightly. I expect him to finish in the high teens to mid twenties. Last season at this venue he had a 20th place average running position and finished 20th. In the inaugural race here he started in 25th and finished 25th.

Danica Patrick – I expect Danica Patrick to struggle at Kentucky. This can be a tough track and I think the lack of banking will increase her level of difficulty. That withstanding though she has really struggled on 1.5 mile tracks this season. On them it seems like she gets lapped early within the first 30 laps. This season on tracks of this length she has a 28.8 average finish and a 29.8 average running position. Her driver rating in these races is 47.1. To put that into perspective many drivers who are start and parkers have driver ratings in the 30′s.
David Ragan – In the inaugural race at Kentucky when he raced for Roush Fenway Racing he had a good performance. He started in 8th and finished 8th. Last season in the #34 car he had a tough race. He started in 33rd and finished four laps down in 29th place. This season 1.5 mile tracks have been a weak spot for him. He has a 31st place average running position and a 28th place average finish.
