Kyle Busch – Complete R&D mode this weekend. Using a new car and a new setup. Likes his balance but needs a little more speed.

Kevin Harvick – To free early in practice. Worked on race trim. After an 18 lap run he said his car remained consistent.

Jimmie Johnson – Early in practice his car was to free to his liking. Worked on long runs early in practice. High on the speed chart without being in qualifying trim.
