New Hampshire Camping World RV Sales 301 Fantasy Mid Pack Rankings
Juan Pablo Montoya – If you’re looking for a sleeper pick Montoya isn’t a bad fantasy prospect. This season at the two similar tracks he’s been good. At Phoenix he finished 12th and he had the race won at Richmond until a late caution snatched away a certain victory. His track record at Loudon isn’t anything to get excited about but he does have a few decent finishes. Back when he was good in 2009 he won the pole, led 105 laps and finished 3rd. His most recent good finish came here in September 2011 when he finished 9th. Last season he recorded finishes of 22nd and 25th. With his improved performances this season I like his dark horse potential in the New Hampshire Camping World RV Sales 301. (Yahoo! B Driver)
Martin Truex Jr. – Martin Truex Jr. is a good New Hampshire driver who’s likely flying below many people’s fantasy NASCAR radar. Since 2009 he’s finished 16th or worse 75% percent of the time. I think he’s greatly underperformed and there’s reason for optimism. Last July Truex started in 4th, had a 10th place average running position and finished 11th. In September he wasn’t as competitive and finished 17th. In July 2011 he finished 8th. My optimism in him is two pronged. His teammates were good here last season and historically this has been a good track for him. He has a 14.9 average finish and has had a top 11 result 42.8% percent of the time. (Yahoo! B Driver)

Brian Vickers – In the last five races at New Hampshire Brian Vickers has had some success on the track. In these five races he has 3 top elevens and has only finished outside the top fifteen once. Last September at New Hampshire Vickers qualified 4th but started in the back due to an engine change. He had a competitive car though and was able to work his way up through traffic. Once he got up into the mid teens though his forward progress stopped. Then during a late caution he used pit strategy that propelled him to the front of the pack (led 5 laps) but then he slowly faded back to his 9th place eventual finish. In July last season he started in 15th and finished 15th. (Yahoo! B Driver)
