AJ Allmendinger – With the sale of Finch Racing to who knows who you almost have to start AJ Allmendinger when you get the chance. It’s said that the new owner has their own driver and there’s a good chance it’s not AJ Allmendinger. At Pocono I expect him to finish in the mid twenties. His average finish is 23.5 and earlier this year he was running around that range when he had a flat tire with 13 laps to go. Out of the drivers in the C List I think he has the most upside.

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – Ricky Stenhouse Jr. made his debut at Pocono earlier this season. In the race he was never a factor. He started in 16th, had a 22nd place average running position and finished 26th. From an allocation standpoint I wouldn’t recommend picking him. I expect him to perform slightly better in the Pocono GoBowling.com 400 but not by much.
Casey Mears – Earlier this season Casey Mears started in 27th and finished 22nd. In the race he had a 27th place average running position and the 28th best driver rating. You really can’t evaluate much of his other recent starts because he’s done a good amount of starting and parking at Pocono in the past.
Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick made her first start at Pocono in June. I was expecting more from her because I view Pocono as an easy track to drive. In the race she started in 30th and finished 29th. The one bright spot is her 23rd place average running position. After another disappointing result at Indy look for her to have a similar result.
David Ragan – In the last four Pocono races David Ragan has finished 28th or worse every race. Also in these four races he has a 31.5 average finish, 30.8 average running position and the 35th best driver rating. Pocono has never been a good track for him. He’s only finished in the top ten once and has a grand total of 2 top fifteens in 13 races.
