Chicagoland Geico 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Kevin Harvick – During his first run he said his car was bouncing all over the place and loose. His bouncing condition improved during a later run. Later he said he needed help on entry but he was good everywhere else. Was in race trim for all of those comments. Switched to qualifying trim about 50 minutes into practice.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Planned to be in qualifying trim for the entire practice.

Aric Almirola – Tested here. Said his car is a little loose. Towards the end of practice he said the car was really good and was coming to him.

Paul Menard – Needs better drive off the corners.

Carl Edwards – Did a few race runs but mainly focused on qualifying trim so team engineers could analyze the data overnight.
