Dover AAA 400 Fantasy NASCAR Front Runner Rankings
Joey Logano – Joey Logano is the top Front Runner rankings driver for the Dover AAA 400. He had a great race at Dover earlier this season. He started in 9th and finished 7th. What made his performance so notable was that on lap 158 he had a flat left front and went two laps down. Before he had a flat he was running in the low double digits. Last season Logano had finishes of 10th and 8th. The only driver with a longer active top ten streak is Clint Bowyer. If you minus his 2011 finishes then he would have 5 consecutive top tens. Because of the way Logano’s performed this season he’s a driver who you can’t overlook in the Dover AAA 400. (Yahoo! B Driver)
Kevin Harvick – Dover was once one of Harvick’s worst tracks but lately he’s performed well. In four out of the last five Dover races he’s finished in the top ten. His worst finish over this stretch of races is 13th. Earlier this season at Dover he had a solid showing. He started in 7th, had a 7th place average running position, earned the 4th best driver rating and finished 8th. Last fall he finished 13th but as with several drivers that finish deserves an asterisk mark because he was a driver who got burned by the early caution during the pit cycle. In spring 2012 he finished second. In that race he started in sixth, drove up to third, fell back to the high teens around the mid-point because of a slow pit stop but rebounded by driving up through the field passing everyone except the 48. In 2011 he finished 10th in both races. Don’t overlook Harvick in the Dover AAA 400. (Yahoo! A Driver)

Clint Bowyer – Clint Bowyer has been Mr. Consistent at the Monster Mile. In the last five races at this venue he’s finished between 5th and 9th every race. That’s by far the longest consecutive top ten streak at Dover. The driver with the next longest is Joey Logano and his streak only stands at three. Earlier this year at Dover Clint Bowyer had a good race. He started in 15th, had a 12th place average running position and finished 6th. In the race he never really ran better than 10th until he did some pit strategy in the final 1/8th of the event. Last fall at Dover Clint Bowyer started in second and finished 9th. He could’ve finished slightly better but he had to come in for gas under green with about 25 laps remaining (5.5 average running position). In the 2012 spring race he started in 4th, had a 6th place average running position and finished 5th. That race also marked his only top five result here. At Dover you should expect him to finish between 5th and 12th. He’s finished within that range 66% percent of the time. (Yahoo! A Driver)
