Talladega Camping World RV Sales 500 Fantasy NASCAR Mid Pack Predictions
Kasey Kahne – Kasey Kahne has been Mr. Tough Luck on restrictor plate tracks this season. In two out of the three races he’s been the victim of Kyle Busch’s bump drafting ability. In the one race he avoided Busch he still wrecked. In May Kahne had a short race after Busch got into his back bumper. As a result he finished 42nd. In his next three most recent Talladega races he’s had results of 12th, 4th and 6th. From a career standpoint I think it’s risky to pick Kahne. He’s only had a result in the top ten four times and has finished outside the top twenty 58% percent of the time. (Yahoo A Driver)

Ryan Newman – Ryan Newman hates Talladega and if you want to know why just look at this results. He finished 9th last fall but over the last eight races that’s his only finish better than 23rd. Over this eight race stretch his average finish is 27.2 and his driver rating ranks as the 38th best in the series. In May Ryan Newman was having a good race but was involved in the wreck with 6 laps to go. At Daytona he currently has three consecutive top ten finishes. Going by his Talladega track record alone though and looking at his attrition rate I see no reason why anyone should pick him. (Yahoo B Driver)

Denny Hamlin – In May Denny Hamlin made his return to the #11 car at Talladega following his Auto Club wreck. In the race he drove until the first caution then climbed out so Brian Vickers could drive the remainder of the event. Vickers didn’t do him any favors because he only drove for about 20 laps before he got collected in the Kyle Busch / Kasey Kahne wreck. When Hamlin’s driven the 11 until the conclusion of the race at Talladega he’s fared pretty well recently. In three of the last six races he’s finished in the top ten and has a 13.5 average finish. In the season opening Daytona 500 Hamlin had a strong performance and finished 14th. In the July Daytona race he was involved in an accident and finished 36th. I wouldn’t recommend Denny Hamlin at Talladega this time around. His trouble / problem frequency is far to high this season. (Yahoo A Driver)
