Jimmie Johnson – Said his car has good drive off the corner. His crew chief was happy with his lap times on older tires. With about 15 minutes remaining his car was free in and a little tight in the center.

Aric Almirola – Has good entry and forward drive off early in practice. During his last run he said his car held on longer before it got loose in a run.

Jeff Burton – Had problems rotating through the turns early in practice.
