Richmond Toyota Owners 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Nearly everyone started practice in qualifying trim because of threatening weather coming in the afternoon.

Clint Bowyer – Got slightly into the wall within the first 10 minutes of practice. He said his car just got tight and wouldn’t turn. The damage was cosmetic. Went to race trim about 25 minutes into practice. With 50 minutes left in practice he said his car diamonds the corner better.

Kyle Larson – Fast in qualifying trim and jumped to the top of the speed chart early. His car stayed consistent in race trim. Could use more forward bite. In race trim he liked his car in 3 & 4. Really focused on being good on exit.
