Jeff Gordon – Didn’t practice due to back spasms. Regan Smith will be his standby driver on Sunday.

Kyle Busch – Got into the wall in the first minute of practice. “Fix it, I’ll see you tomorrow”. His team went to a backup car. He will have to start in the rear. He returned to the track in his backup car about half-way through the session. Said his backup car isn’t even close to his primary car. Ran 19 laps in his backup car.

Kurt Busch – Will likely start in the rear of the field because it’s expected he’ll miss the drivers meeting. His car is loose and he said it felt restricted. Towards the end of practice he said his car was a lot better.

Brad Keselowski – Wanted to make three different runs with three different setups this practice.

Austin Dillon – Loose during his first run. Has been loose in every session.
