Kevin Harvick – Felt very comfortable with his setup. Experimented because he already thought he had a car that could win. Had a transmission oil leak.

Aric Almirola – Said his car is lacking front grip. Towards the end he thought he had engine problems. It turned out to be transmission issues.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Changed transmission. Won’t have to start in the back. Has good speed but said his car is difficult to drive. His crew chief told him, “really fast, great laps”. Still had a vibration late. Best 10 lap average. Happy with his speed. Thinks his balance could be better.
Jimmie Johnson – Looked strong and was fast. Working on getting better off turn 3. Said his car felt good but he was a little worried about practice times. Chad Knaus told him he is where they need to be. Practiced coming to pit road.
Alex Kennedy – Spun on his own and didn’t get any damage.
