Michigan Quicken Loans 400 Fantasy NASCAR Top Tier Elite Picks
Joey Logano – Joey Logano is a good fantasy NASCAR pick to win the Michigan Quicken Loans 400. Last August he had a great race and went to victory lane. In the event he started on the pole, earned the best driver rating, had a 4th place average running position and led 51 laps. His car was consistently strong and if it wasn’t for pit cycles and pit strategy of others he likely would’ve run 100% percent of the laps inside the top five. In June last season he also had a strong showing. In that race he started in 6th, had a 6th place average running position, led 21 laps, earned the 4th best driver rating and finished 9th. Between the combined races last season he had the best driver rating, best average running position and led the second most laps. In 2012 on the new surface he didn’t fare well and had results of 31st and 35th. This season on high-speed intermediate tracks minus Auto Club Speedway where he had top five potential until he had problems he has a 5.3 average starting position, 5.3 average finish, 6.3 average running position and has led 215 laps. Jimmie Johnson – Michigan has been a tough track for Jimmie Johnson. It’s one of just five venues he’s never been to victory lane. Performance wise he’s been good enough to win a handful of races here but they’ve slipped away from him by some means whether it’s running out of gas, getting a flat or blowing up. Last August at Michigan Johnson had a great car. He started in the rear of the field in a backup car but it didn’t take him long to get towards the front. By lap 31 he was already up to 15th. Unfortunately his race didn’t go on much longer than that. On lap 54 he was on pit road with his hood up and his day was over. Just prior to his problem he was running around 10th. Last June at Michigan Johnson had the one of the best cars but his stats line and finish position doesn’t reflect that. He started in 17th and by lap 65 he raced his way up to the lead. The race was far from incident free for him. While he was running in 2nd on the lap #81 restart Dale Earnhardt Jr. (leader) spun his tires and Johnson hesitated on getting going and as a result he lost about 10 positions. Then later in the race after Dale Earnhardt Jr. blew up Chad Knaus made a poor decision for Johnson to get four tires and nearly everyone else got two. That shuffled him deep in the field. He rallied back strong though. With 9 laps to go he drove all the way up to 2nd but with three laps to go he had a flat tire and as a result finished 28th. In August 2012 he was leading with 5 laps to go but his engine blew up. In June 2012 he started in the rear of the field and drove up to a 5th place finish. In the past at Michigan Johnson has lost two races based on fuel mileage. This season on similar tracks Johnson has been strong. At the last high-speed intermediate track visited he went to victory lane. Auto Club Speedway is the most similar track and he would’ve won there earlier this season if his tire didn’t come apart in the closing laps. Where can I find title loans near me?
