Marcos Ambrose – Practiced making long runs. Stayed in race trim for nearly the entire session. When he tested here he only focused on being good over long runs. Said tire wear will be critical.

AJ Allmendinger – Tested here and ran solid lap times early. Looked good. 30 minutes into practice he said, “so far so good”.

Clint Bowyer – His crew chief said, “Top 3 Bud”. Didn’t do any testing for this race. Very happy with his chassis. Focused on long runs. “Really nice in turn 11”.

Michael Annett – Went off-roading early in the session.

Practice #1 Speeds and Averages

Jimmie Johnson – Didn’t run quick lap times early but over a 7 lap run he ran some fast lap times. Car was free the entire session.
