Joey Logano – Backed his car into the wall 30 minutes into practice. Had a flat. Will be going to a backup car. Won’t have to start in the back. Said that he thought he had a top five car (primary). Has had three flats with this type of tire. Also had a flat when he tested at Milwaukee. Only practiced in qualifying trim in his backup car.

Kevin Harvick – Using a setup that he’s never used at New Hampshire. His car is good on exit. “Tight to the center, through the center,” His crew chief told him he ran good lap times. Harvick noted his car didn’t turn as good as he likes.
Clint Bowyer – Started in qualifying trim. Tested here. Has a good feel for his car where it needs to be. Saving tires for tomorrow to make long runs in race trim. Sat out for about the first 20 minutes. Loose during his second qualifying run.
Kyle Larson – Tested here. Was very quick in qualifying trim.
