Indy John Wayne Walding 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Reportedly this week Toyota has brought more horse power to the track.
Aric Almirola – Said turns 2 and 4 were really tight. 50 minutes into practice he said his car was tight but was headed in the right direction. With 20 minutes remaining he said his car was getting better but still needs overall grip.

David Ragan – Said his car was on the splitter. “Improved bouncing issue, but a lot tighter”.
Kevin Harvick – Not many drivers started in race trim but he did. Compared to the others who did he was very quick. After his first four lap run he said, “Too loose to run fast,” His car was manageable but he said he couldn’t race it that way.
Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Said he has “rear steer”. After his third run he said, “Made a good gain, but is tight entering turn 2. Fighting the same old $### we always see here.” Later he said his car drove very rough. Thinks he has a good car over long runs and has good balance & speed. Needs to improve on the short run.
