Jeff Gordon – Car looked good. Used this as a test session for suspension components. Carl Edwards said he was really good on his 7th lap.

Denny Hamlin – Focused on balance and getting better off turn 3. Good in turn 1. In turn 3 his car was tight. Towards the end he wasn’t happy. He said his team took away his entry and he’s loose.

Kyle Larson – Car wasn’t quite as good in race trim as it was in qualifying trim. Really focused on long runs. Said his car is a little tight in turns 1 and 3. Said he needs to pick up a couple tenths.

Kevin Harvick – “Tight everywhere. Chattering the tires” (first 5 minutes into practice). Had some handling issues during his second run but his car was faster. Towards the end he said, “too tight to the center”. His crew chief Rodney Childers said they don’t fall off as fast as some others.

Josh Wise – Got into the wall slightly.
