Bristol IRWIN Tools Night Race NASCAR Practice #1 Notes
Ryan Newman – Early in practice he said his car was decent and was positive in the front. During a run 25 minutes into practice he said his car was better. 30 minutes into practice he was tight on exit. Did all race runs until 20 minutes to go. In race trim he was tight. During his qualifying run he was a little loose.
Brian Vickers – Early in practice he said his car was very comfortable. Later in practice he said his car got better each run.”That was as good step in the right direction.” Towards the end of practice his car was described as junk in race trim.
David Ragan – On the splitter early. His spotter told him 30 minutes into practice, “The line has moved to the top.” His car was a little free in both the top and bottom grooves.
Kevin Harvick – Started practice with a 21 lap run. Liked how his car unloaded. His car was good and consistent. Rodney Childers said it was the best he’s unloaded at Bristol. “Too tight 3/4 to the wall.”
