Chip Ganassi Racing Fielding the Best Non-Chase Teams
Rookie sensation Kyle Larson just missed the Chase, but that’s not going to stop the kid from competing just as hard in the final races of the season. Larson has finished in the Top 12 four consecutive races (and eight of the last nine), including an impressive third-place finish at Chicagoland Speedway. Larson started 43rd after going to a backup car following a wreck in practice.
But if there’s one driver flying under the radar right now, it’s Larson’s teammate, Jamie McMurray. He’s not in the Chase either, but in many fantasy racing games, it’s value guys like McMurray that can put your team above the rest when they run well. “Jamie Mac” has posted a Series-best nine consecutive Top 20 finishes, including four Top Tens. Additionally, he hasn’t finished worse than 14th since July.
