Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Kansas Hollywood Casino 400
Kyle Larson – If you still have Kyle Larson starts left he should be your default Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR pick for the Kansas Hollywood Casino 400. This season on high-speed intermediate tracks Kyle Larson has been a very strong performer. At these venues minus Kentucky and Michigan #2 he has a 9.4 average finish, 13.6 average running position and has the 4th best driver rating. Chicagoland is the last 1.5 mile track visited and at that venue he was very impressive and finished 3rd after leading 20 laps. This spring at Kansas Larson had a solid showing. He started 5th, finished 12th, had a 12th place average running position and finished 13th. Right now Larson is on quite the hot streak. In the Chase races he’s scored the second most points and has a 3.7 average finish.

Danica Patrick – This spring at Kansas Danica Patrick had probably her best all-around Sprint Cup performance. I don’t know where it came from but she was impressive. In the race she started in 9th, had a 10th place average running position, finished 7th and earned the 7th best driver rating. Her car looked very solid throughout the event and she was the real deal. Last fall Kansas was cruel to her. During the first lap she spun and got fatal damage. In that race she completed 0 laps and finished 43rd. In spring 2013 she started in 25th and finished 25th. In fall 2012 she tried taking out her frustration on another driver and as a result she wrecked herself and finished 32nd.
Austin Dillon – Austin Dillon now has two Kansas races under his belt. It should be noted in both of his races he’s finished exactly where he started. This spring he started in 19th and finished in 19th, one lap down. Also in the race he had an 18th place average running position and earned the 21st best driver rating. His one other Kansas start was in 2011 and in that race he started in 26th and finished 26th. This season on 1.5 mile tracks he hasn’t had any real notable issues and his stats do a good job portraying his level of competitiveness. In the seven races on 1.5 mile tracks he has an 18.3 average finish and has scored the 18th most points. In all of the races held at these venues he’s finished between 16th and 24th. In four of these seven races he finished 16th and that includes the last 1.5 mile track visited.

Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgiaer ran competitive at Kansas this spring. To show you his level of performance check out his Yahoo Race Chart. As you can see in the deep dip in his chart his race wasn’t incident free. What happened is that he got caught up in “The Big One” when Allmendinger lost control of his car while trying to pass Paul Menard. When the checkered flag waved he finished 36th. Last fall at Kansas he also got swept up in an accident and finished 39th. In the race last fall he looked like a driver who was capable of finishing right around 20th.
