Kevin Harvick – Using the same setup he used in the spring race. Towards the end he said his car was too tight.

Matt Kenseth – Using a brand new setup today.

Ryan Newman – Reported a little bit of vibration early and was loose in traffic. 15 minutes into practice he said his car was bouncing. About halfway through practice it was reported his handling got better. Later in practice his car was loose all around the corner.

Casey Mears – Reported his car was loose.

Jimmie Johnson – Started practice with a 4 lap run and didn’t have great speed. His car has been loose. Later in practice he said he was overrunning the fronts on entry but his exit is secure. Later in practice he liked changes made to his car.
