Kevin Harvick – Using a Jeff Gordon setup. Good on exit. Was at the top of the speed chart early. “Too loose in and needs drive off.” He said his car is handling better this practice session.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Working to get better balance like Gordon’s and Johnson’s. His crew chief was happy with his lap times.

Clint Bowyer – He radioed his team and said “we aren’t too far off” after completing 19 laps. His crew chief told him he looks good over long runs.

David Gilliland – “Entry is 25 percent better. If I could get in better, I can turn better.”

Joey Logano – Rolled good through the center.
