AAA Texas 500 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Brad Keselowski – Started in race trim. Said the wind was really having an effect on his car. Went to qualifying trim after the first hour.

Kevin Harvick – Using his Indy /Atlanta/ Charlotte chassis. During his opening 7 lap run in race trim he said he was a little tight. Went to qualifying trim about 20 minutes into practice.

Kurt Busch – At the start of practice he said he was just a little tight off 4. Has a new crew chief this week. Went to qualifying trim 30 minutes into practice. “Little tight off 4, on the edge of stepping out in 2. I need to work on my line.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Reported that he was loose during his first run. Later he was tight in the first half of the corner and reported he had more comfort on exit. Went to qualifying trim 40 minutes into practice. Seems fairly happy with his car in race trim.

Greg Biffle – Tested here and started in qualifying trim.
