Las Vegas Kobalt Tools 400 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes

Aric Almirola – He was too tight during his first run. Later he said he was much better on exit. With about 10 minutes left in practice he spun coming off turn 2. He received no damage from the incident.

Kevin Harvick – His team worked at getting better over the bumps this session. Over his first five laps he probably had the fastest car on the track. After his first run he said he was comfortable over the bumps. Following his first run his crew chief said, “That’s way better, much faster than yesterday.” In practice #2 he had the best 5 lap and 10 lap averages.

Las Vegas Practice #2 Speeds

David Gilliland – “Really good in 3 and 4. The bumps are better than yesterday but still need help in 1 and 2.”

Dale Earnhardt Jr. – His car was fast early but he was also free. He worked on ride quality issues this practice session.

Denny Hamlin – His car was getting free early. His car improved on his second run when he moved up the track.
