Kevin Harvick – Went to the top of the speed chart early in Happy Hour. His lap time around his 5th lap was almost a tenth quicker than nearly everyone. Started practice with a 26 lap run. Had the best 5 lap and 10 lap average speeds.

Kurt Busch – He claimed his team hit on something during the first session that really worked. Made a 15 lap run in this practice. 20 minutes into the session he had the 2nd best 5 lap average and the 2nd best 10 lap average.

Jeff Gordon – His biggest problem is getting his car to turn in turns 3 and 4.

Carl Edwards – Has good balance but is looking for more speed.

Clint Bowyer – He feels better about his car over long runs than he does on short runs. His team has a lot of work to do.
