NASCAR Power Index – Texas
1. Kevin Harvick (LW: 1) – Harvick’s run of top-2 finishes comes to an end, but he still led a race-high 154 laps.
2. Joey Logano (LW: 2) – Logano was fast once again, leading a total of 108 laps en route to a third-place finish.
3. Brad Keselowski (LW: 3) – “Bad Brad” could have made it two in a row with a win at Martinsville by making a daring final-lap move on Denny Hamlin, but he took the high road and settled for second.

4. Martin Truex Jr. (LW: 4) – Truex’s run of top-10’s continued with a solid sixth-place effort at the paperclip.
5. Denny Hamlin (LW: 13) – A much-needed win for a driver who has had a roller-coaster first segment of the 2015 season.
6. Matt Kenseth (LW: 10) – Kenseth’s most consistent race of the year resulted in his best finish of the year (fourth).
7. Dale Earnhardt Jr. (LW: 5) – Broken shifters were just part of a problematic day for NASCAR’s most popular driver, who finished 36th.
8. Jeff Gordon (LW: 11) – A late-race speeding penalty may have cost him a shot at a win, but this makes three straight top-10’s for Gordon.
9. Kasey Kahne (LW: 9) – An early speeding penalty didn’t keep the No. 5 Chevrolet from hanging around the top 10. Kahne crossed the finish line 11th.
10. Kurt Busch (LW: 6) – After finding his way to the front early on, Busch’s car just wasn’t the same later in the race, leading to a 14th-place finish.
11. Jimmie Johnson (LW: 8) – Not the kind of day a guy like Johnson is used to at Martinsville, as numerous issues resulted in a 35th-place finish.
12. Ryan Newman (LW: 7) – It was not Ryan Newman’s day, and an incident on Lap 286 didn’t help matters.
13. Aric Almirola (LW: 14) – Another solid run for the Richard Petty Motorsports driver, who jumps to ninth in the points standings.
14. Paul Menard (LW: 12) – Menard was also the victim of a couple incidents, but similar to Newman, probably didn’t have a competitive car regardless.
15. David Ragan (LW: NR) – Ragan slowly crept his way forward as the day progressed, and the result was his first top-5 since 2013.
Dropped from Power Index – Kyle Larson (15)
