Texas Duck Commander 500 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

Drivers who sat out early because their crew chief missed a meeting last week: 4,14,15,23,41 and 48.

Ryan Newman – His crew chief and whole team are here this week since their appeal will be heard next week. An hour into practice he was a little loose but his balance improved.

Jamie McMurray – Said his car was pretty good off the truck. Later in practice he said, “I thought that was a little bit better off. I just couldn’t drive in very hard & can’t roll through the middle very good either”

Ricky Stenhouse Jr. – His car was smoking early because of a tire rub.

Aric Almirola – Early in practice he said, “Not very good. Tight on entry to the center, and then loose after that.” Later in practice he said his car was better but needs more side bite. During his final run he said he was tight.
