Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Richmond Toyota Owners 400
David Ragan – Earlier this year at Phoenix David Ragan ran around 20th for nearly the entire event. At that venue he finished 21st and had a 19th place average running position. Prior to joining Front Row Motorsports he experienced success here. In 2011 in his last year with Roush Fenway he walked away with a pair of 4th place finishes. Since he’s driven for Front Row Motorsports his best result is 20th. In his time at Richmond in the #34 he has a 29.3 average finish and a 30.5 average running position. Last season his performances were pitiful. In fall 2014 he finished 6 laps down in 33rd. In spring 2014 he finished 4 laps down in 30th.

Chase Elliott – Chase Elliott will be returning to competition at Richmond and will be driving the #25 Hendrick Chevrolet. Earlier this year at Martinsville he made his first start in NASCAR’s top series and it was a disappointing debut. He damaged his car early and went on to finish 38th. Last year in the lower series at Richmond he had a pair of 2nd place finishes.
Justin Allgaier – At Richmond Justin Allgaier might be able to sneak in a low twenties finish or perhaps even better. He’s only raced here twice but he does have some dark horse potential. In spring 2014 towards the end of the race he was knocking on the door for a top ten finish but he got into the wall with 18 laps to go and as a result he finished 21st. To give you a better idea about his level of performance here’s his Yahoo Race Chart. Last fall’s Richmond race had few cautions and that was bad for drivers like him who started deep in the field and were off. In the event he started in 27th, had a 26th place average running position and finished 28th.
Danica Patrick – Last fall at Richmond Danica Patrick had her best performance at this venue by a wide margin. If you looked at her prior track record it’s shocking she ran so well. In the race she started in 13th and finished 16th. This race was comprised of long green flag runs and she was the final driver to finish on the lead lap. Also in the event she had a 17th place average running position and earned the 17th best driver rating. In spring 2014 she was very uncompetitive and finished 5 laps down in 34th. At no point did she ever look better than a mid-thirties driver. She started in 35th, had a 35th place average running position and earned the 37th best driver rating. In her first two races at Richmond she finished 4 laps down and had results of 29th and 30th.
