Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Dover FedEx 400
David Ragan – At Dover David Ragan has never had a top ten and has a 25.1 average finish. Last year he finished in the high 30’s both races. In 2013 he finished in the 20’s both races. In terms of penciling in fantasy value for him I think you can probably count on him for a low twenties result. One area for optimism in Ragan is that teammate Clint Bowyer currently has 8 consecutive Monster Mile top tens.
Justin Allgaier – Last year at the Monster Mile Justin Allgaier made his only two starts. In both events he finished 5 laps down in the upper 20’s. Last fall he was far from competitive. In that event he started in 23rd, had a 31st place average running position and finished 29th. In spring 2014 his afternoon was very similar except he finished a few spots better in 26th.
Brian Scott – Brian Scott will be piloting the #33 this week. This year in races where his engine has gone the distance he has finishes of 13th and 27th. At Dover Scott has never made a Sprint Cup start. Last year in the lower series at Dover he finished 7th both races. In 2013 in the Xfinity Series he had results of 11th and 14th.
Brett Moffitt – In spring 2014 at the Monster Mile Brett Moffitt made his Sprint Cup Series debut and piloted a third MWR car. For it being his first race ever I thought he had a respectable afternoon. He started 18th, had a 28th place average running position and finished 22nd. In Moffitt’s last two starts in the #34 this season he has results of 31st and 34th.
Danica Patrick – At Dover Danica Patrick has been consistent. She’s raced here five times, has zero lead lap finishes and has had a result between 23rd and 29th every race. Also over the last five races she has a 25.8 average finish, 29.0 average running position and the 34th best driver rating. Last fall she started in 13th and finished two laps down in 25th. In June 2014 she had her best race and finished four laps down in 23rd. Also in that race she started in 28th, had a 25th place average running position and earned the 26th best driver rating. In fall 2013 she finished 6 laps down in 29th. In spring 2013 she finished 4 laps down in 24th. In her first start in 2012 she finished 7 laps down in 28th. Typically at Dover Danica Patrick’s best friend is high attrition rates.
