Dale Earnhardt Jr. – Dale Earnhardt Jr. isn’t known for turning left and right but last year he had a great performance. In the event his car was very strong and over long runs it ranked as one of the best. In the race he finished 3rd, earned the 5th best driver rating and had an 11th place average running position. In the event he drove very aggressively. He single handily ruined Matt Kenseth’s and AJ Allmendinger’s top ten potential days. Prior to last year he never had a result in the top ten at this venue but he did have six results between 11th and 13th. In 2013 he had a good race by his normal standards. Jamie McMurray – If your fantasy league rewards qualifying points Jamie McMurray should be high on your list. Currently at Sonoma he has back to back poles. Also at this venue he’s started in the top two in 3 of the last 4 races. Last summer he had a great car. In the race he started first, earned the best driver rating and finished 4th. Throughout the race he was a consistent front runner and his 5th place average running position ranked as the best. In 2013 he started on the pole but that was his lone highlight. In the event he had a 18th place average running position, finished 25th and only ran 43.6% percent of the laps in the top fifteen. McMurray’s race wasn’t incident free. On lap 73 he had a flat tire in turn #3 and went off-roading. At the time of the incident he was running in 17th. When circumstances got back to normal for him he was one lap down running in 36th. In 2012 he finished 19th and had a 20th place average running position. In the three races prior to 2012 he finished in either 14th or 15th. (Yahoo B Driver – DraftKings $10,100)

Joey Logano – Joey Logano has been a respectable performer at Sonoma. In the last four races at this west coast track he has a 10.8 average finish, 14.0 average running position and the 11th best driver rating. A big part of his success is starting up front. Over this four race stretch his average starting position is 8.3. Last year it just didn’t seem like the Penske cars were that competitive. Keselowski looked lost and Logano was a high-teens performer. Last June Logano started 10th, finished 16th, had a 16th place average running position and earned the 17th best driver rating. In 2013 at Sonoma Logano had a silent but solid afternoon. He started in 8th, finished 11th and led 10 laps. It’s important to point out all of his laps led came through pit strategy. In 2012 he finished 10th, had a 12th place average running position and earned the 13th best driver rating. In 2011 Logano won the pole, led 5 laps and finished 6th. At Watkins Glen Logano has run well. In three of the last four races there he’s finished in the top seven. Last year he finished 6th. (Yahoo A Driver – DraftKings $11,300)
