Kentucky Quaker State 400 NASCAR Practice #1 Notes

NOTE: Only one practice session was held for Kentucky due to inclement weather. The session only lasted about 50 minutes.

Jeff Gordon – Started in qualifying trim because of the incoming rain. He didn’t get to spend a lot of time in race trim.

Denny Hamlin – At the start of the session his car was loose on entry and exit.

Kyle Larson – Seemed optimist about his car and started in race trim. He reported that the cars are a lot looser.

Cole Whitt – Said his car is really tight from the center off. Had contact with Hornish Jr. in the garage area.

Justin Allgaier – After running 5 laps he said his car was tight in turns 1 & 2 but loose in turn 3. During a run 35 minutes into practice he said his car feels much better but he’s looking for speed.
