New Hampshire 5-Hour Energy 301 NASCAR Practice #2 Notes
Jeff Gordon – Got right rear damage when Clint Bowyer ran into him in the garage area. Prior to his issue he wasn’t the happiest with his car and his splitter was hitting the track.
Clint Bowyer – He was reportedly happy with his car after completing his opening 7 lap run. Around the midpoint he didn’t like a change done to his car but his crew chief liked his lap times. In the second half of practice he hit Jeff Gordon in the garage area. He was able to return to the track in about 10 minutes.

Ryan Newman – Had a flat tire in the first five minutes of practice which brought out a caution (had a puncture in his tire). His team focused on improving their balance.
Sam Hornish Jr. – After completing a 6 lap run he said he was free on the brakes and tight on the throttle. In an interview he said he was too tight in the center of the corner. At the end of the session his car remained tight.
Matt Kenseth – Was very fast over his opening run.
