Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Pocono Windows 10 400
David Ragan – Pocono hasn’t been a good track for David Ragan. He’s only finished in the top ten once and his 23.5 average finish is representative of what you should expect if you pick him. In the last four Pocono races he has a 20.3 average finish, 24.3 average running position and the 29th best driver rating. In June he drove the 55 and it didn’t seem to make him any more competitive than he was at Front Row Motorsports. In the race he finished 23rd, had a 22nd place average running position and earned the 24th best driver rating. His next three most recent Pocono results were finishes of 18th, 19th and 21st.

Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgaier has shown quality fantasy NASCAR potential in his tier at Pocono. Earlier this year he wasn’t competitive but walked away with a respectable result. In the race he started 30th, had a 25th place average running position, earned the 22nd best driver rating and finished 20th. Where he finished is essentially the highest he got in the running order over the course of 160 laps minus help from pit cycles. In August 2014 he was had a very good performance and rewarded those who bravely picked him. In that event he earned the 14th best driver rating and finished 16th. In June 2014 he made his first Pocono start. He led 6 laps by being out of sync with the field but he typically ran within a few deviations of the low twenties. When the checked flag waved he had a 21st place average running position and finished 27th.
Danica Patrick – Danica Patrick ran well this spring at Pocono. She had a very good chance to walk away with a good finish but her afternoon wasn’t incident free. With 26 laps to go she had a right rear tire go flat and got into the wall. She was running in 11th at the time of the incident. Later in the race with 7 laps to go she spun again coming off turn 3. In August 2014 she looked good early. She started in 10th and ran around that range until lap 16 when she had a tire rub and then later that lap got into the wall. After that her afternoon was essentially over and she finished 4 laps down in 30th. In June 2014 she wasn’t competitive but played a role in the outcome when she slowed Keselowski down at the end when he was trying to clear debris off his grille. In that race she started in 16th, had a 23rd place average running position and finished 37th. Her race wasn’t incident free. On lap 137 while she was running 2nd because of pit strategy she brought out the caution when she got into the wall. In August 2013 on lap 110 Danica Patrick was caught up in a multi-car wreck that sent her to the garage area. At the time of the incident she was running around 20th. In June 2013 she started in 30th and finished 29th. One aspect I don’t like about Danica Patrick is that over the last five races she’s finished 24th or worse.
