Pure Michigan 400 NASCAR Happy Hour Practice Notes
Kyle Busch – Wrecked in the opening minutes of Happy Hour and went to a backup car. His backup car got out on the track about 40 minutes into the session. He said the handling of his backup car wasn’t good. His lap times in his backup car weren’t bad.

Matt Kenseth – Said his car is 10 times worse in traffic and he can’t even pass cars that are a second slower.
Justin Allgaier – Early in practice he said his car was really, really tight. During a run 40 minutes into practice he said his car turns a lot better but as he gets back to the gas he gets really tight.
Kevin Harvick – His crew chief said his lap times look good. His crew chief said the only driver who was quicker was Edwards but he was only running 3 laps at a time.
Austin Dillon – “Free in and tight to the center in turn 3. Everywhere else is fine.” Later he said, “I want to tighten up on entry. I know in traffic it’s just going to get worse.” Towards the end of Happy Hour he thought his engine blew up but it could’ve also been a fuel issue.
