Yahoo C List Fantasy NASCAR Preview – Bristol IRWIN Tools Night Race
Justin Allgaier – Justin Allgaier has been in three races at Bristol and has a 14.7 average finish. This spring he ran well. He started 15th, earned the 15th best driver rating, had a 14th place average running position and finished 8th. Also in the race it should be noted he even got collected in one of the late wrecks but because the attrition rate was so high he was able to escape with a good result. Last August he started in 19th and finished in 19th. It should be noted he ran better than his result. His final pit stop was slow and it dropped him about 10 positions into the low twenties and he only advanced a few spots forward in the closing laps. To give you a better idea about his level of performance here’s a link to his Yahoo Racing Chart. Also in the event he had a 17th place average running position and earned the 19th best driver rating. The March 2014 race was one of survival and he evaded the carnage. He started in 30th, had a 21st place average running position and finished 17th. In the lower series at Bristol Allgaier went to victory lane in spring 2010.

Ryan Blaney – In NASCAR’s top series Ryan Blaney has never raced at Bristol. Last year in the Xfinity he had a successful season. In the first race at “The Last Great Coliseum” last year he started 5th and finished 4th. Last summer in the lower division he started 2nd and raced his way to victory lane. In three of the last four races this season Blaney has finished in either 23rd or 24th.
David Ragan – David Ragan didn’t have a great Bristol performance this spring. He started in 11th and ran well through the first 60 laps but during the competition caution when he was running in 9th he had a problem that dropped him back in the running order. He was able to drive up to about 20th but then later in the event he was collected in a wreck after Johnson spun Burton and as a result he finished 41st. In six of the seven Bristol races prior to that he finished between 20th and 32nd.
Danica Patrick – This spring at Bristol Danica Patrick was probably about 18th place good but she dodged the late “Big One’s” and finished 9th as a result. In the race it should be noted she earned the 19th best driver rating, had a 20th place average running position and only ran 4.5% percent of the laps in the top fifteen. Last August at Bristol she finished in 27th and that’s reflective of her performance even though her evening wasn’t incident free. On lap 264 while she was running in 29th she was spun but got no damage. In spring 2014 Danica Patrick had her best performance. It’s important to note the bar is extremely low so that’s not saying much. In that event she started in 36th, had a 24th place average running position and finished 18th. Also in that race she earned the 28th best driver rating and ran 0.0% percent of the laps inside the top fifteen. The attrition rate was high and performance wise she likely had a mid-twenties car. Her three Bristol performances prior to that event were results of 26th, 28th and 29th.
